The Abandoned Asylum is a special residential building given as a reward during the 2019 Halloween Event.

The Abandoned Asylum provides 1 population, negative happiness and produces coins in 24 hours and has an Attack Boost on the highest level. The building can be motivated and can be plundered if not motivated. When motivated, it produces additional resources like goods and forge points depending on the buildings level. The coin production is doubled upon motivation and is affected by the town's happiness and by boosts of certain Great Buildings.

If animations are turned on, a group of bats will leave the Abandoned Asylum upon collection. The Amount of bats is dependent on the buildings level. On levels 3 and 4 a single bat will spawn and on Levels 5 till 9 the amount of spawned bats will be the three less than the level.

Upgrade[]

Abandoned Asylum Upgrade Kit

The Abandoned Asylum can be upgraded by Abandoned Asylum Upgrade Kit item. To upgrade the Abandoned Asylum, use the Abandoned Asylum Upgrade item on the Abandoned Asylum that is already situated in your city. Its upgraded version will then be placed directly on the same spot in your city and the production timer will not be reset. Note that the upgraded building will be from your current era, even if the old one was from one of the earlier ages.

The Abandoned Asylum originally provided population (480 - 24,980 at level 9). It also did not require motivation to produce Forge Points and Goods. This was changed to the present state with the Beta daily update on 4 October 2019. Consequently, the building was added to the aid priority list.
