The Bazooka Team is the light unit of the Modern Era.
To train this unit, a Heavy Weapons Center is needed.
Comparing it to the Conscript. This unit gains a lot of attack points, but the rest of the parameters (defense, movement and range) are decreased.
It keeps the 25 extra attack and defense points against Artillery, but the bonus against Heavy Units goes up from 10 to 35. The bonus in Entrenchments is doubled. The defense bonus in trenches remains the same.
It also gains the bonus "Dug In", so, as long as it is attacked from more than 2 squares away, will have 30 extra defense points.
The Bazooka Team is a unit that in theory is effective against the Battle Tank and the Mechanized Artillery, while it will struggle to deal with the Paratrooper and the Mechanized Infantry. In the practice it is hard to play with due to it's lack of mobility and range.
Against Same Age Units
The Bazooka Team is vulnerable to the Paratrooper, especially if the Paratrooper is placed on proper terrain or even hidden in woods to take advantage of the Bazooka's lack of mobility.
Although a shot from the Bazooka Team can cause considerable damage, the Mechanized Infantry can use it's speed to play around the Bazooka's low range and take it out. Try to keep your Bazookas in trenches to minimize damage.
The only situation where the use of Bazookas is justified. Not only that, but it's the best unit against Battle Tanks in the era. However, it's low defense when not Dug In can still be exploited by the high mobility of tanks, especially on maps that restrict movement. In most encounters however, Bazooka Teams will dominate Battle tanks with their bonus against heavy units.
This match, in theory, it's favorable to the Bazookas. On practice, their lack of mobility and range means it will take a long time for them to reach artillery, taking significant damage along the way. Paratroopers can be more effective against Artillery, especially on maps with slower movement.
