The 2017 Winter Event page is acting very funny for me. I'm trying to add a reply, no button for that. So I try to write a comment and attach an image to support my comment... but that just reloads the page. So I try to simply post without the image and again... reload. The header up top shows "My Account" and that I have to sign in, but I'm already signed in. Every time I click to sign in, it simply reloads the page. Other pages work just fine and show my avatar and that I'm already signed in up in the header... and I can reply and add a supporting image. It's just the one page (so far). Is it because it's an "in progress" event for some reason? There are many comments already on the page. I wonder why others can do so, but I can't. Any ideas?
Editing the 2017 Winter Event page is locked. Posting comments however is open to everyone. The issue you had posting a comment is a Fandom/Wikia problem. I have the same issue myself sometimes, and I find that closing my browser and opening it again fixes it. I am glad to hear you got your comment with image posted in the end.
I accidentally added a page to the wiki when trying to upload my avatar. It uploaded my avatar as a PAGE!!! I can't figure out how to delete it... so I replaced it with the FOE Continent Map just to not be so stupidly obvious that it's a mistake. Can I get it deleted?
It might be better to wait for the bot to run before disrupting all the pages? I thought someone had edited a page claiming all the medal amounts were outdated and I was very confused. I nearly reverted your change, until I figured out you are someone with a clue (and a stick :)
What KillMeNow said! :) I was going to offer the services of my bot (though it's not registered on Wikia), but if you've already got one, then I won't worry about it.
Can I suggest reverting that change until your bot has gone through and changed most of the existing template calls? Once it has, if there are still a lot of unaddressed backlinks, then it would make more sense to put that—and maybe even some hover text or something to tell people what's wrong and what to change the template to.
Hello. I am one of the admins here. We have a Discord server that we use to talk about what we are working on for the wiki. We strongly recommend that you join, so that you can be kept up to date on what needs to be worked on. Discord is free on the App Store or Google Play, and is also accessible on the computer at https://discordapp.com/.
Below is the invite code. If you need help with Discord, please post on my message wall.
I'm Pafton. You probably know me by now. As you may be aware, I'm going on a holiday and thus I need someone to run the wiki in my place. Incidentally, we decided to remove 2 other admins as well. That opens up 2 permanent and 1 temporary position. Based on your formatting skills, I think you would be suitable as a person who can format and create pages, as well as format the event pages. Do let me know whether you would be keen to take up the position or not.
Wow, I wasn't expecting this. I am honoured that you thought of me to become admin here. I enjoy helping out around the wiki. I'm a bit scared of creating new pages, but I'm pretty good at formatting, so I'm sure I will figure it out. I play on Beta too, so that helps with new events.
I'm only able to help a few days a week, so if thats ok, then I'd love to join you on the admin team.
I agree. The decision of changing admins was taken and approved quite quickly. Anyways, there's no need to be worried about creating pages. Our community here is quite friendly, and if you do make any mistakes, we're there to guide. The number of days you help in a week is no problem. We had admins who weren't active even in a month. I've given you the rights.
