  • Beelze and I worked on my guilds shared drive, when antiques came out.  I am thinking to post my spreadsheet there, complete data set for IA to LMA, plus CE.  I also have a friend doing PME, she said she had a couple of ages.  Let me see if I can get her to add there then we can look at the data.

    • I didnt want to post it all, too much, way too many screen shots.  Think it might be easier to print and look first.  After the event, I will look for Arch data, get it cleaned up.  Sometimes after rush quests, I may not update bcs I am caught up.  I will do Soccer 100%, all quests including the daily ones.  I have always wondered how to determine what my LMA or CE player might need versus the range given.

    • Hello CDmark,

I have taken the first 34 Quests from your sheet.

May I ask if you have been updating the Daily Quests?

      Thank you

  • or something like that.

I've created the quest list for the Arch-Event in PME from 1 to 45 so far.

Please let me know if this format works for you or if you would like some changes.

The page couldn't be fooled by renaming the pdf to.jpg so I've uploaded it here:

  • Respected Main Administrator

I took a chance and read the Administration article, where you have beautifully and succintly described the roles and duties of various positions. May I have the graciousness of knowing what parameters you are seeking when recruiting for the Comments Reviewer position? I am not applying now, as I am yet to settle on this website, but if you would so kindly tell me the parameters then possibly I can hope to work towards them.

    Eagerly anticipating your reply.

    Love and regards,

    Madelaine Coltrix a.k.a. Maddie

    • Thank you for asking about the role of Comments Reviewer.

Normally members of the Admin Team look at the activity levels of contributors to the site to see if there is someone they think could help the Team.

We normally look for someone who is making regular contributions over a period of months, be it via adding and updating pages or providing helpful tips and comments. This shows that a person has a reasonable knowledge of the game and a commitment to helping others.

Beelzebob6666 is a good person to help you if you want to create or build a page and to steer you along a good path.

As for the role itself it is no more than as described, common sense is also needed. Always give someone the benefit of any doubt, give them a chance to change the content themselves first and advise what could happen if it is not moderated. There are no age limits on this site so we have to ensure that the language used is in keeping with what you would be happy for a child in your care to read or hear.

All of the current Admin Team have accounts on the Forge of Empires Beta site - though this is a nice to have rather than a must have, as it gives you access to information ahead of most players. While it is not important to use Discord at the moment, you will need to create or have an account on it, if you are invited to join the Admin Team.

      Regards

      P et M II

    • I sincerely thank you for your well thought-out reply. I will strive to answer every comment in a fair and objective manner. Possibly after a while I could formally apply or you might deem me worthy enough. I do have an active account on the Beta server. I will try to get a hang of this "Discord" today.

      Thank you once again.

      Love,

      Maddie

  • A FYI that I belatedly saw that I needed to leave you a message about editing the 2020 St Patrick event with the 9th grand prize added and fixing spelling typo and image edit size...  so I'm letting you know about this now. Cheers!  (Former Wikipedia user)

  • Hello P&M2

I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected as the Editor of the Month for December 2019. To reflect this honour, your username will be given a cyan shade for the upcoming month which will be mostly visible in the Wiki Activity, Community and page histories. Moreover, your profile masthead will permanently have the tag "Featured Editor - December 2019" added to it.

Your name and portrait have been added to the Main Page. In case you are not satisfied with the current portrait, please inform me with your choice from this list so that I can make the necessary changes.

    Keep up the good work!

    Sincerely

    • Thank you for this honour.

With it being a new year I was thinking of a new image, trying to decide between 281 and 326. I was also thinking of 302 but Mr Quib had that one.

  • I'm new to adding content (and likely will be careful and reserved in doing so).  Wondering about adding a cropped screen capture segment from a splash screen on Forge of Empires. Is adding such a picture acceptable and if so, how do I cite it or credit it? :-) Thanks much in advance for any insight :-)

Sorry for intruding on your project a little.

      Some things to consider:

      • wiki should be neutral - you can put personal notes maybe as a reference, but things like "stop plunder if you are asked nicely" are highly biased - be careful with such statements as, for example in this case, plundering is a game element and nobody can forbid you to do it
      • wherever possible add links to the respective other wiki pages - you do not have to link every occurrence of a term to the respective page, but it is good to put a link where it makes sense...
      • notes about future expansion of the article are superfluous as that is usually the case with wikis - you can however indicate that the list is not conclusive by just having an empty line at the end
      • I am not too sure about numbering the hints in the list - maybe there is a better way? You could for example do a categorization/grouping of the hints and have that category as the first column spanning over all the relevant hints instead of the numbers.

      Addition:

      • you should not reference yourself in the article (as in "the author", "the addor"...) as that might indicate to others that you claim this article as yours and might discourage them from adding to it

Thank you to all for guidance and mentoring here  . . . will begin to make the changes suggested including "Some thing to consider" and neutrality along with referencing authorship and more. Any other refinements much welcomed! :-)

    • Just visited the page, looks great with the revisions/edits and addresses several of the main concerns I had when adding the content including some questions about neutrality and how or even whether to add certain authoring notes etc. Making the page as accessable as possible neutral, and without controversy will help and people can make comments below on the page after all. The "project page" to "loading screen" is a good idea as well. Thanks to Pafton specially for the guidance on images use and links.
