The Ronin Bot is a heavy military unit of the Virtual Future. It can also be received by completing the following Story Quests of the Virtual Future: Money is Digital and Next Stop: Purple Palace.
The Ronin Bot has a moderate attack and defense in the Virtual Future, as well as very good range despite a slow movement. It has bonuses against ranged and fast units, but the best aspect about it is its Force Field ability.
Usage[]
The Ronin Bot is quite a useful and exceptional unit in this era. They can easily defeat fast, ranged, and even light units (despite them having bonuses against the Ronin Bot), as their long range allows them to attack them after they have moved, whilst their Force Field ability can easily ensure significant damage has been reduced. In fact, the Ronin Bot's only fears are Mortar artillery units as they can deal significant damage to the Ronin Bot and transform many rogues at once which leaves the rest vulnerable to further attack. Eventually past the Virtual Future, the Ronin Bot is better replaced by the Steel Warden as they upgrade the Ronin Bot massively, and the Ronin Bot's low base attack and defense will make them retire past the Virtual Future.
Against Same Age Units[]
Ninja[]
The Ronin Bot is a solid counter to the Ninja, chiefly due to the fact that the Ninja deals insignificant damage to the Ronin Bot whilst they can be eliminated in two hits by the Ronin Bot. The only trouble the Ronin Bot will face is the Ninja's Stealth, as the Ronin Bot is seriously limited by their movement which may allow the Ninja to deal substantial damage to them over time.
Warrior Monk[]
The Ronin Bot is very strong against the Warrior Monk, as they can easily finish them in two hits after they have rushed to the middle of the battlefield. As well as this the Warrior Monk has to suffer retaliation when they attack the Ronin Bot, and receive significant damage especially as their Dug In ability is denied. When paired with rogues, the Ronin Bot can easily sort out Warrior Monks with only very minor injuries, as they deftly finish them off the next round once all Warrior Monks have reduced health.
Rocket Troop[]
The Rocket Troop is by far the biggest threat to the Ronin Bot, as they can cause significant damage to many of them before the Ronin Bot has had a chance to move, even when rogues are used. Meanwhile, it takes two turns before the Ronin Bot can reach them, and in that time frame, they will have taken significant damage. The Force Field ability does protect them greatly, however, especially as it reduces the splash damage caused by them, and as long as they are not in considerable numbers, Ronin Bots can still take them out.
Augmented Samurai[]
Despite the the Augmented Samurai being theoretically strong against the Ronin Bot with their bonuses, the Ronin Bot on the practice tends to easily defeat the Augmented Samurai due to their much longer range over them as well as the fact that the Augmented Samurai has to receive retaliation for their attacks against them as well. In fact, Ronin Bots may be the second best solution against them other than Mortar artillery units because of this. As ever, the only limitations to this is the Augmented Samurai's Reactive Armor ability which limits the Ronin Bot's effectiveness against them, and without a strong boost, the Augmented Samurai can still deal considerable damage to the Ronin Bot.
Ronin Bot[]
The Ronin Bot is somewhat useful at eliminating other Ronin Bots, provided as you have a stronger boost over the enemy. As both sides have the Force Field ability, there may be trouble in cases you cannot two hit kill enemy Ronin Bots in two hits. Using Rogues is also a good strategy to minimise damage as well.
