Story Quests are a type of quest the player has to deal with. These quests, as the name suggests, narrate a story or a chronological sequence of events in the player's city and interactions with the province owners. Most of the quests will require the player to scout and acquire parts or even an entire province, research some technologies, build a building, collect a certain amount of a resource (like happiness, population, goods) or pay some coins or supplies.
These quests are narrated by the player's advisor, who is Ragu Silvertongue (SA - CA), Princess Myciena (CA - FE), Admiral Terry Hunt (AF - OF) and Eve (VF - SAT). Pythia makes a short appearance as the quest giver in BA and Early IA but then is never seen again. The quests cannot be aborted (except for one) and a player will need to fulfill all the prerequisites in order to complete them.
This article lists all the Story Quests, presented according to age and the order in which they appear. However, starting from the Industrial Age, the decisions made by the player can affect the sequence and Story Quest that comes afterward.
