Unlike its predecessor, Strike Team, it does not possess the Stealth ability, but it possesses all special abilities of Rapid Deployment and Contact!.

It is the slowest unit of the Tomorrow Era, also it has lower defense than artillery unit from the same-age, but it has little higher attack than Assault Tank (CE heavy unit) and the shortest attack range of all units from Tomorrow Era which has same range as Stealth Tank (TE heavy unit). These units have bonuses vs both heavy and artillery units, attack bonus when on broken grounds and rubble, defense bonus when in entrenchments and rubble. They are vulnerable to both fast and ranged units.
The currently available units that can attack an Ultra AP without retaliation are artillery units, ranged units from the Industrial Age upward, light units with Dragon Breath ability, fast units from the Progressive Era upward (except Drone Swarm, Warrior Monk and Hover Hammer), heavy units from the Progressive Era upward (except Stealth Tank, C.R.A.B. Mech and Shredder), Champions from the Progressive Era upward (except Champions from the Space Age Asteroid Belt), Conscripts, Strike Teams, Exoskeleton Soldiers and Mantas.
