The Ultra AP is the light unit of the Tomorrow Era. They are trained in the Ultra AP Factory, but they can also be received by completing the No Business, and Private Security Story Quests.
Compared to the Strike Team, the Ultra AP gains only 10 attack and bonus increases against heavy units and new terrain bonuses on broken ground, entrenchments and on Rubble. Defense is kept the same, but movement and range are decreased ever so slightly. They also have the Rapid Deployment and Contact! ability, both of which have been seen before by previous era units.
The only units that can’t escape retaliation from the Ultra AP up until the Oceanic Future are pre-Progressive Era light, fast and heavy units and Champions and pre-Industrial Age ranged units and the Bazooka Team, Commando, Stealth Tank, Drone Swarm and C.R.A.B. Mech. All other units can.
Usage[]

On the contrary, the Ultra AP has the lowest defense, range and movement value in the Tomorrow Era. Its Contact! ability is also rather useless given their short range. Although they can spawn halfway across the map and deal somewhat effective damage, their lack of mobility and range may prevent them from getting the first strike and they are easily finished afterwards as they cannot hide.
The Ultra AP will be no match after the Tomorrow Era, as the Hover Tank will have much greater range and can escape their retaliation whilst the Rail Gun will have massive bonuses against light units, and units after that will be too strong for them.
Against Same Age Units[]
Stealth Tank[]
Whilst the Ultra AP does have good bonuses against heavy units, the Ultra AP cannot attack the Stealth Tank at range and is limited by a slow movement speed. The Ultra AP is only effective at destroying Stealth Tanks when the Stealth Tanks attack them, triggering an unavoidable retaliation, if the Ultra AP doesn’t die. If you have a sufficiently good defense boost, this may be useful, but oftentimes, the Stealth Tank is able to cause quite considerable damage to them.
Combat Drone[]
The Ultra AP is very weak against the Combat Drone, due to the Combat Drone’s bonuses against light units. The only advantage the Ultra AP has against them is their Rapid Deployment ability to get the first hit, but overall the Combat Drone can easily take them out due to their great mobility and range.
Anti-Materiel Sniper[]
The Ultra AP is also very weak against the Anti-Materiel Sniper again because of the Anti-Materiel Sniper’s bonuses against light units. The Ultra AP has only its Rapid Deployment ability to gain an advantage over them, otherwise the Anti-Materiel Sniper can easily finish them at a distance.
Microwave Blaster[]
The Ultra AP’s bonuses against artillery makes them strong against the Microwave Blaster, even though the Microwave Blaster can avoid their retaliation. The Ultra AP however, can still deal good damage on them and take reduced damage back, though the Combat Drone is usually a lot more effective against many Microwave Blasters because of their Flying ability.
