Hello guys. Everyone has their own types of gameplay, and every Forge player does things a little differently. I'm now going to cover all general types of players that one may find on a typical world. If this gets the go-ahead to become a guide, I'll make this open-ended, and everyone can edit it. This is NOT an analysis on what style is the best, but rather just a view of a bunch of stereotypical playstyles. And yes, this does include some really weird playstyles. Ready? Let's go.
The Newbie[]
Your typical player, just trying to get technologies to get through the Three MAs, and is very reliant on the guild. Perhaps would have probably slapped down their Zeus or their Lighthouse, and probbaly have one or two event buildings at a low level, but nothing more. They start out at a lowly guild, but has ambition to advance into a larger guild. Newbies also don't really participate in GEs and GBGs, mainly due to focusing on map and a shortage of units. Literally everyone, even I would have been a newbie when you start out.
The Noob[]
To quote Urban Dictionary: Noobs know little and have no will to learn any more. They expect people to do the work for them and then expect to get praised about it, and make up a unique species of their own. Noobs are the same as newbies in their situation, but the big difference is that they refuse to learn, and would slap down a Colosseum without reading literally any guide. These people don't benefit from their guild, and will stick to one guild that is going nowhere. Noobs would usually quit by the Modern Era due to the increasing diffculty with each age.
The Semi-Pro[]
Another typical stage for a player. These types of player will probably have the fighting trio, probably slapped down an Arc and maybe an Alcatraz. They would begin to rake in 50FPs per day, and would began to contribute to their guild. They would have left their first guild (like me, I was in a guild called "The Canadians" before joining my current guild), and by now, would begin to get more special buildings like Shrines of Knowledge and Confectionary, and would begin to have one or two event building at maximum level. Again, most people would have been through this.
The Experienced[]
These types of players have played Forge of Empires for years, and has slapped down over a dozen GBs, while already being in Space Age Venus. These players have tons of event buildings, and are just collecting goods, contributing to their guild, perhaps even running their own guild. Usually in the top 1% of players. I wouldn't consider them Pros, but rather just normal, typical casual players who just loves this game. They also organize swaps in GBG and will have more goods than they can ever use.
The Pro[]
I would consider a Pro someone who fights AND wins almost every time, have tons of units while raking in resources left and right. They have a Level 80 Arc, and have many very high-level GBs via 1.x threads, instead of swaps. They don't even have to be in a really high age; One can be in the Iron Age and you can be a pro if you have many event buildings at their highest level, contributes to your guild a lot, while being a major member in their relatively large guild. Pros are also relatively active, logging on at least 5-6 times a day.
The Demigod[]
Now these players either have no life or are just SUPER experienced, and they are one of the best players in their world. These players usually have a Level 180+ Arc, have a lot of their best GBs at Level 100 or above, founded their own guild that will send them to the very top, and do like 100 fights per day in GBG. These players usually would have researched all technologies, and are just waiting for InnoGames to publish the next age. They are in the top 1000, and are so good, other guilds tremble when they face their guilds.
The Megafighters[]
These people rush to get the Fighting Trio, Alcatraz AND the Orangery basically as soon as humanly possible. These players upgrade the Alcatraz to Level 50+ by the Progressive Era (when you can ACTUALLY get the goods for the Alcatraz), and only get goods when needed. They don't do diplomacy, and fight their way through absolutely everything. They are usually top of their GBG contribution chart for a large guild, and get themselves to 150 Attrition every day. They are so hardcore, they don't even build the Arc as they see it as wasting space for more military units.
The Relaxed Fighters[]
These people are more chill, and only fight until they cannot continue without losing too many units. They still get the Fighting Trio, but will get it slower, perhaps by the Progessive Era. They see the Orangery as more of an addition than a requirement, and some don't even build it due to how big it is. These players primarily do fighting all the way to the start of Level 4 of GE. These fighters are just kinda casual, not doing too little, but not too much fighting. They also build the Alcatraz sometime after the Modern Era.
The Great Building Collector[]
These players are either noobs or trolls, because they would build every Great Building they can. If they have the blueprints for that: Slap it down. They don't care if it is the Alcatraz or the Colosseum, if they have the Forge Points, slap it down.
